Candidates must have passed one of the following from a recognized institution:
ITI in relevant trades
Diploma in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation)
3-year B.Sc., B.Com, B.A. (relevant disciplines)
12th Pass (with or without Skill Certificate in Data Entry)
Age limit: 18 to 24 years as on 31 May 2025
Age relaxation applicable as per government rules

As per Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 and IOCL guidelines Graduate apprentices receive Rs.9,000 per month, with Rs.4,500 from the Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT) and Rs.4,500 from IOCL. Technician apprentices receive Rs.8,000 per month, with Rs.4,000 from BOAT and Rs.4,000 from IOCL.
